Canada Summer Jobs – Youth Employment Program

Through the Canada Summer Jobs program, RAIM Full Cup of Kindness Canada provides paid summer employment opportunities for youth ages 15–30. These roles are designed to support skill development, workplace readiness, and meaningful community engagement.

Positions We Are Hiring For

As part of our Canada Summer Jobs – Youth Employment Program, RAIM is seeking youth to fill the following roles:

Administrative Assistant

Role Overview
The Administrative Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of RAIM by assisting with scheduling, documentation, data entry, and general office coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with filing, record-keeping, and basic data entry
  • Support scheduling, email correspondence, and document preparation
  • Help organize meetings, materials, and program records
  • Provide general administrative support to staff and program activities

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Youth aged 15–30 (Canada Summer Jobs eligibility)
  • Self-identify as Black, including those from African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) communities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Google Docs, email)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Interest in administration, business, or nonprofit work is an asset

Role Overview
The Office Manager supports the overall coordination of RAIM’s office operations by assisting with organization, communication, and administrative processes. This role helps ensure that daily activities run smoothly while supporting staff and program delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with coordinating office activities, schedules, and basic workflows
  • Support record-keeping, documentation, and internal communications
  • Help maintain organized digital and physical files
  • Assist with onboarding materials and general office procedures
  • Provide administrative support to program and project activities

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Youth aged 15–30 (Canada Summer Jobs eligibility)
  • Self-identify as Black, including those from African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) communities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Comfortable using email, word processing, and basic digital tools
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and follow established processes
  • Interest in office administration, operations, or nonprofit management

Role Overview
The Creative Services Assistant supports content creation and creative projects that help promote RAIM’s programs, initiatives, and community engagement activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with creating visual and written content for digital platforms
  • Support basic graphic design, photography, or creative materials
  • Help organize creative assets and project files
  • Collaborate with team members on creative ideas and campaigns

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Youth aged 15–30 (Canada Summer Jobs eligibility)
  • Self-identify as Black, including those from African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) communities.
  • Interest in creativity, design, media, or communications
  • Familiarity with Canva, Adobe tools, or social media platforms is an asset
  • Creativity, curiosity, and willingness to learn
  • No formal design experience required

The Social media & Communications Coordinator supports RAIM’s online presence by assisting with social media content, communications, and outreach efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with scheduling and posting content on social media platforms
  • Help draft short captions, posts, and community updates
  • Monitor engagement and respond to basic inquiries (with guidance)
  • Support communications related to programs and events

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Youth aged 15–30 (Canada Summer Jobs eligibility)
  • Self-identify as Black, including those from African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) communities.
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn
  • Interest in communications, marketing, or media
  • Organized, responsible, and comfortable working online

Role Overview
The Customer Information Service Representative serves as a first point of contact, providing information about RAIM’s programs and responding to basic inquiries from the public.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to email or phone inquiries using prepared information
  • Provide clear and friendly information about programs and services
  • Direct inquiries to appropriate staff or departments
  • Maintain basic records of inquiries and responses

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Youth aged 15–30 (Canada Summer Jobs eligibility)
  • Self-identify as Black, including those from African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) communities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor
  • Ability to follow guidelines and scripts when provided
  • Interest in customer service or community engagement

The Program Support Assistant helps with the coordination and delivery of RAIM’s programs by assisting staff with planning, logistics, and participant support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing program materials and resources
  • Support program logistics and basic coordination tasks
  • Help track participation and program activities
  • Provide general support during workshops or events

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Youth aged 15–30 (Canada Summer Jobs eligibility)
  • Self-identify as Black, including those from African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) communities.
  • Strong organizational and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Interest in education, youth work, or community programs
  • Reliable and able to follow schedules

Role Overview
The Youth Engagement Assistant supports outreach and engagement efforts aimed at connecting with youth and encouraging participation in RAIM programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with youth outreach and engagement activities
  • Support peer-to-peer communication and program promotion
  • Help gather feedback from youth participants
  • Encourage inclusive and welcoming program environments

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Youth aged 15–30 (Canada Summer Jobs eligibility)
  • Self-identify as Black, including those from African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) communities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Interest in youth development or community work
  • Comfortable working with diverse groups
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

These positions are offered through the Canada Summer Jobs program and are subject to funding approval and program timelines. Training and supervision will be provided.
